It’s already half time of my sustainability leadership course at the CISL and oh dear, I did not know what I was signing up for (in a positive way). I am so grateful for the work the CISL staff is doing and every time I start learning, I wish everyone in the world would take this eye-opening course. The basic knowledge on sustainable issues we are facing today and existing solutions, which could solve so many problems make me wonder every day how humanity is not able to change its habits in order to secure our future.
What I did not expect to sign up for is a total shift of my perspective on life, business and society. I thought that I have had a decent knowledge on sustainability already, but since I am engaging myself with the top priority topics (to be), everything else becomes a bit more meaningless and I am starting to look for the purpose in my work more than ever before.
The information, that is provided is the basic knowledge which enables us as civil society, businesses and NOGs to argue confidently in favor of sustainable business practices and policies which are necessary to change towards a healthy world.
In every unit, the meaning of the employees, especially leaders and decision-makers becomes more and more obvious. This starts with education on the state of research, current laws, sustainable solutions for business models etc. The people who keep a business running have the power and the responsibility to change their activities for the good and consider the environment and society in their daily actions.
I am looking forward to everything that is yet to come and will take you along my journey.
Sounds like a really interesting course. Finding that balance between profit and sustainability is a tough one in business!

I’m planning to start my own website soon but I’m
a little lost on everything. Would you propose starting with a free platform like WordPress or
go for a paid option? There are so many choices out there that I’m completely confused
.. Any recommendations? Thanks a lot!
